Server Rulebook
A general set of rules that governs the server. They apply to everyone, at all times. If you are not sure whether something is allowed, ask staff before you do it.
1Community
- Use common sense.
- Follow the Minecraft Community Standards and the Discord Community Guidelines.
- In-game conflicts are allowed, provided they remain civil and do not carry over to harassment outside of the game.
- There is zero tolerance for doxxing, threats, or harassment over in-game events.
2Player vs. Player
- PvP outside of war time is permitted.
- Do not combat log to avoid PvP or its consequences.
- Do not repeatedly kill or target a player in a way that prevents them from reasonably playing the game.
- Do not damage, obstruct, or alter the area surrounding a Lands claim to interfere with its gameplay or development.
- Standard combat — swords, axes, shields, bows, crossbows, tridents, potions — is unrestricted.
- Setups that can one-shot a fully-geared player without warning are restricted (e.g. the mace / elytra / wind-charge combo, or railguns).
- Crystal PvP and bed bombing are banned.
- Offensive machinery — machines or contraptions designed to attack players or player structures — is restricted. This includes bedrock and portal trapping, TNT cannons, and railguns.
- Player traps may only be constructed for the defense of a player's land (e.g. ganking pits and fall traps), and only if the trapped player retains the ability to move, fight, or use items at some point after the trap triggers.
- Wars are governed separately and require staff approval — see Warfare.
3Lands & Nations
- A land is the property of its owner and trusted members. What happens inside a claim — theft, infighting, and so on — is for that land's community to handle. This does not apply to rulebreaking.
- Nations and lands must publicly announce their alliances. If you want to be able to call in help during a war, that agreement must be established before the conflict starts — see Warfare §4.
- Nations and lands may not adopt historical names (e.g. the Roman Empire). Inspiration is allowed, but names should be largely fictitious.
- Nations and lands may not adopt extremist ideologies such as Nazism or Stalinism.
- Claims must be reasonably reachable by a normal player on foot or by boat. Lands may not be built entirely underground, entirely floating, or otherwise positioned so that a rival nation could not realistically locate, approach, or lay siege to them.
- To be officially recognized, treaties and agreements should be written down — a shared document, a book and quill, or an in-game proclamation.
- Claims that violate these rules may be removed by staff.
4Client
- Cheats, x-ray, dupes, exploits, and unauthorized automation are strictly prohibited (e.g. Baritone, Meteor Client).
- Mods that do not provide a significant combat advantage, or information you otherwise couldn't obtain, are allowed.
- Do not intentionally exploit server bugs or plugin bugs.
- Do not intentionally lag, crash, or otherwise disrupt the server.
- Staff may intervene in situations involving behavior or unforeseen mechanics that substantially damage the server, the economy, or the intended progression of the game. If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask staff before doing it.
5Farms
- Automated or unattended farms that produce tradeable commodities are not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, gunpowder, ender pearls, wheat and crops, wool, fish, mob drops, and anything players routinely buy and sell.
- Automated farms that produce non-tradeable or effectively worthless items are allowed — cobblestone generators, XP farms, and similar builds — as long as they don't undercut a player market.
- Manual or semi-automated farms are always allowed, regardless of what they produce, provided they require ongoing player input. Redstone can be used, but it cannot fully substitute for the player.
- Farms that cause server performance problems may be removed regardless of what they produce.
- If you are unsure whether a farm violates these rules, ask first.
6Moderation
- Staff have final say on the balance and regulation of the server.
- Staff decisions can be appealed. Contact an Advisor directly rather than publicly disputing decisions.
- Evidence for a report must be uncropped, unedited, and retain full context. Intentionally tampering with evidence is punishable.
- Staff are held to these standards exactly as any other player is.
