Claims

1Lands

  1. Run /lands create <name> to found your land. The first chunk is free. Every chunk after that costs 16 G, rising 4% with every chunk the land already holds, paid from the land bank: your 10th chunk is about 23 G, your 30th about 50 G, your 50th about 109 G. Holding land is cheap; growing a large one is not. /l, /ls, and /t are all shorthand for /lands.
  2. You can own up to two lands and be trusted in up to five. Each land you own pays its own upkeep.
  3. When naming your land you can use a hex code to set its color on the world map, for example <#FF5555>ExampleLand. Minecraft only recognizes a specific set of hex colors.
  4. Your land has a shared bank that is used to store gold and pay upkeep and claim costs. Upkeep is charged weekly at 5 G per chunk. Claims and upkeep only ever come out of the bank, never your inventory, so keep it funded: a land that cannot pay its full upkeep loses its most recently claimed chunks until the rest is paid for, every week it falls short.
  5. You can rent or sell sub-areas of your land to other players without trusting them.
  6. Unlock land tiers with trusted members and gold in the land bank.

2Nations

  1. Nations can be created by any land for a price of 500 G.
  2. When a land joins a nation it stops paying upkeep to the server and instead pays tax directly to the nation. The tax rate is set by the nation's owner.
  3. The nation itself owes upkeep to the server at 3 G per chunk across the combined total of its lands.
  4. Nations can advance in tiers based on how many lands they have.

3Vassals

  1. A nation that loses a war under the Vassalage goal is absorbed by the winning nation as a restricted member.
  2. Vassals pay taxes to their overlord that can run higher than normal nation taxes.
  3. The only way to become independent again is to declare and win a war of independence against your overlord. See Wars → Consequences.
Wars are the only time claimed land can be entered or captured by an enemy. Read the Wars document before you get into a conflict.
